The Parks Canada Micro Cabin is a pilot project to see the level of interest in a unit like this renting out on a nightly basis in the National parks across Canada. Two similar units were built, one by us, and one by a company in BC. Ours was sent to Forillon, Gaspe Quebec and the other was sent to a park in Manitoba. Should the pilot project have a positive outcome, they may want to have as many as 450 of these little units across Canada over the next 5 years!!
The concept is pretty simple…a 10×10 cube on a 10×20′ deck with the following attributes:
- solar power with 3 lights and the 2 usb chargers
- Furnishings include a double bed, two night stands and a fold-up table & chairs
